The Giants are taking a shot on former Miami Dolphins DT Manuel Wright. The 23-year-old left USC early and played in Miami in 2005, only to have personal issues, which included breaking down into tears on the practice field after then head coach Nick Saban yelled at him. He didn’t play last season, as rumors ran that he was suffering from depression. The team cut him in May of 2005. He went to the Bills, but was let go after showing up to mini-camp overweight. The team also signed offensive lineman Dan Parrish and Myniya Smith, and also waived four players, including TE Darcy Johnson, DE Dek Bake and CB Travonti Johnson and OL Chris Patrick.
