The sprained ankle that has kept wide out Plaxico Burress on the sidelines since August 2nd has apparently healed enough to allow the receiver to take the field in training camp. Burress was on the field Tuesday, trying to catch up with his teammates after missing much of camp. “This is probably the best I’m going to feel at this point, so I’m going to go out and give it a push,” Burress said. “It’s going to be sore for a while, it’s going to be something I’m going to have to fight through. I think I’m fortunate to have a chance to go back out there. Everybody knows you got to take the bumps and bruises along the way. As long as you can keep your head level at times like this . . . you can get a little bit frustrated, you just got to keep fighting. I’ve got a lot of hard work ahead of me because I’ve missed going into three weeks.” Burress returns in time to wrap up camp with his teammates, as they have four sessions left. The team will take on the New York Jets in their third preseason game on Saturday, but right now it is not known as if Burress will attempt to play in that contest.
