Injury Bug Continues to Hit Giants Hard

Coughlin

A rash of preseason injuries continues to plague the Giants.  Head coach Tom Coughlin announced Monday that wide receiver David Tyree has a fractured wrist, and fellow wide out Plaxico Burress is battling a back injury.  Coughlin says Burress’ back began bothering him at the end of last week.  Meantime, Michael Strahan continues to be notably absent from the team.  Strahan’s counterpart on the defensive line, Osi Umenyiora, says Strahan should be given as much time as he needs to consider his future.
