Manning Leads The Giants Past The Falcons

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning throws from the pocket during the second quarter

Eli Manning passed for 303 yards and two touchdowns as the Giants defeated the Falcons 31-10 on Monday Night Football at the Georgia Dome.  Brandon Jacobs, Reuben Droughns and Derrick Ward combined for 188 yards rushing for New York, which scored the game’s final 24 points to erase a 10-7 deficit and improve to 4-and-2.  Droughns’ one-yard touchdown run with 2:18 left in the first quarter put the G-Men ahead to stay.  Plaxico Burress hauled in a 43 yard score midway through the second quarter to extend the lead to 21-10 and the Giants added 10 more in the fourth quarter to put the game away.  Joey Harrington finished 18-of-39 for 209 yards and an interception for Atlanta, which fell to 1-and-5 with the loss.
