Pierce likely to play vs. Detroit Sunday

Despite a mild concussion suffered last weekend against the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce is expected to play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Pierce did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but did practice on Friday.
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, based on his comments, appears to be leaning towards playing Pierce on Sunday, telling the Associated Press, “(Pierce) practiced today. He did everything today, he took every snap, so I will check with him when I go in. But I think he certainly is on his way.”
