Giants Travel to Detroit for Key NFC Battle

The chance to possess the third-best record in the NFC will be on the line when the Lions welcome the Giants to Ford Field this Sunday.  Both teams come in at 6-and-3 and in second place in their division.  The Lions had their three-game winning streak snapped after falling 31-21 to Arizona Cardinals last week.  Jon Kitna threw for 294 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, but the Lions turned the ball over five times in defeat.  The Giants were winners of six straight before falling at home to the Dallas Cowboys, 31-20.  Eli Manning tossed for 236 yards, one touchdown and two picks.  New York’s defense continues to perform well, coming in ranked eighth in the league in yards allowed per game.  The Giants won 28-13 the last time these teams met in October of 2004 in New Jersey.
