Giants Look To Snap Playoff Win Drought

Posted by Matt Loede on January 5th, 2008 filed in News

Sunday’s NFC wild card game pits the Giants against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.  New York is 0-and-3 in the playoffs since losing to the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl 35.  The Giants won three of their final five games but hope to bounce back after a tough loss to the undefeated Patriots in the regular season finale.  They finished the season with 10 wins, good for second place in the NFC East.  Quarterback Eli Manning will be looking to pick up his first career postseason victory for New York.  The Buccaneers won the NFC South for the second time since winning Super Bowl 37 in 2003.  Tampa Bay finished the regular season with nine wins, with six of them coming at home.  The two teams have alternated wins and losses in their past four regular season meetings.

This should be a good match up with Giants showing a strong game last week against the Patriots, and going up against Tampa this week.
