Seubert Says He’ll Play in Super Bowl Despite Banged Up Knee

As reported yesterday, Giants guard Rich Seubert is giving the go-ahead that he’ll be ready to go a week from Sunday for the Super Bowl, despite an injured knee.  Seubert told the AP Thursday that “I’ll be on the field” as far as playing in Glendale next week is concerned.  He is suffering from a sprained right knee, and did not take the practice field yesterday.  Seubert, who has already suffered a variety of injuries, seems to be taking an all or nothing approach to playing next week and what could happen later on in life.  “If you break your leg, it’s going to give you problems down the road,” he said. “I’m 28 years old. When I’m 50 I’m going to feel my leg. That’s life. It’s my decision and I decided to play football. You can ask any ex-player, after they stop playing there are aches and pains. It’s part of the business.”
