Tynes Re-Ups With Giants

Perhaps it was the winning field goal against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game, but in any case, New York Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes will be able to cash in. According to the New York Daily News, Tynes signed a 5-year, $7 million contract to remain with the Giants - just mere weeks before he was to become an unrestricted free agent. A 4-year veteran, Tynes went undrafted out of Troy and had spent his first 3 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs before getting traded to the Giants prior to the 2007 season.
