USA Today is reporting that Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw has been in jail since June 15th an undisclosed probation violation. Bradshaw is in jail in southwest Virginia. Charles Stacey, the attorney for Bradshaw, was not immediately available for comment. Newsday reports that Bradshaw had some run-ins with the law before he was drafted by the Giants in the spring of 2007.
In 2006 he he was arrested for petty larceny at Marshall Univ in West Virginia. In 04 he was arrested in Virginia for underage alcohol possession and resisting arrest. The Giants issued the following statement: “We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Ahmad’s legal representative. This situation is not the result of any recent incident. It stems from an issue that occurred prior to Ahmad being drafted by the Giants. Beyond that, we have no further comment.”
