Experiencing a “Senior Moment”
Posted by Martin Alvin on July 6th, 2008 filed in OpinionsMea culpa! Mea culpa! Mea culpa! My error! I apologize for a really dumb mistake in my last piece, Forfeit the friggin’ season, okay! Yeah, okay, maybe the piece was dumb, too, but I’m not apologizing for that. I’m allowed to be dumb. Hey, dopes have rights, too, you know. But, unfortunately, in the piece, I mistakenly referred to NFL Live windbag, Floyd Reese (the ex-Tennessee Titan GM) as Floyd Peters. That was just plain dopey. Floyd Peters was a solid defensive tackle for the Browns, Lions, Eagles and Redskins in the sixties and later a fine defensive coach who even worked for the Giants at one point. To my knowledge he’s had no connection with ESPN or NFL Live. Sorry, but I was experiencing a “Senior Moment,” okay? Don’t be critical. Someday you’ll be old and dopey, too.
