‘Fat Cat’ Giants Can’t Possibly Repeat!

2007 Champs

News flash! Hot of the presses! Bad news Giants fans! It’s official. It’s already written in stone. The ‘Fat Cat’ Giants can’t possibly repeat! Save the fuel. Don’t bother driving to the stadium. Check your TV listings for some old movies on Sundays this Fall. There’s no way the ‘Fat Cat’ Giants can be as successful on the road as they were last season — 7-1. And there’s no way they can win 4 playoff road games in a row. And, with another 3-5 home record, they’re simply doomed. These are facts. The ‘Fat Cat’ Giants only made the playoffs because of some once-in-a-life-time, power-of-the fickle gods, luck. Tyree’s catch was a perfect example. And, now, they’re just a bunch of ‘Fat Cats’ without the motivation — or the dumb-luck — necessary to repeat. Hey, what can I say, Giant’s fans? It is what it is. Learn to live with it. It’s gospel. Period! End of discussion!

Sez who? Sez, that “expert” of all “experts” — even more astute than Trey Wingo and his NFL Live bunch — the one, the only, the brilliant, Ken Palmer of Scout.com — otherwise known to “experts” as: Reality Central. How does he know? Hey, he’s an “expert.” And if you think that’s ridiculous — which it is — chew on this; people actually pay to read his stuff? Now that’s even more crazy than the ‘Fat Cat’ Giants repeating.

Yet another “expert” who just can’t seem to grasp the fact that the Giants did it exactly the way it was always intended to be done. Not a pussy win like the Steelers over the Sea Hawks aided by the refs … but an honest-to-God, old fashioned, butt-kicking served up to one of the best teams ever; the 18-0 Patriots. They did it man on man. The tough way. The resilient way. The unlikely way. The way it’s supposed to be done and for that they deserve respect. But, for some bizarre reason, guys like Ken Palmer simply don’t get it. To them it was luck … a fluke … an anomaly. Pardon me while I barf!
