Wide out stories continue to be the thing at Giants camp, as today’s New York Post is reporting that the team is getting a bit testy when it comes to the quad injury that has kept rookie Mario Manningham from making any sort of impact so far in camp. The story today is that Manningham’s quad is to the point where he’s not even close to getting back on the field and practicing with his team. “Just speculation,” Coughlin said of the date of a possible Manningham return. “It’s not worth even talking about.” The team continues to have issues with WR, as Amani Toomer (knee) and Steve Smith (groin) sat out practice again on Thursday.

Well with the defense looking solid, it may have to carry the team for a cpl of weeks at least until the bye. By then all of the receivers should be ready for combat. Maningham will be fine but look around the league, receivers usually get messed up now because of over work.
