The Giants slugged the Browns 37-34 at The Meadowlands tonight, dominating them early on. Domenik Hixon had a career night with three TDs in the first quarter. Eli Manning tossed two TD passes, Brandon Jacobs ran well and the Giants ‘D’ was stout against the run and pounded Browns, Derek Anderson until he left the game with a concussion.

Danny Ware contributed 95 yards on the ground — most of it late when the Giants had to milk the clock. Unfortunately, Kay Jay Harris may have broken his leg or ankle. It was a very strong showing for the Giants against a well regarded Browns team

But if you watched the game on ESPN’s Monday Night Football you heard Mike Tirico, Tony Kornheiser and Ron Jaworski ramble and blabber and bore us with silly, extraneous stories, pretentious insights and goofy exploits. Once the Giants went up 30 to 3, they seemed to lose all interest, rarely citing the players making the plays on the field.

The game itself became an afterthought. These guys seem to have the combined attention span of an average three year old. Or, maybe, they actually think people watch Monday Night Football to hear their blather. Well, here’s a news flash guys; no, absolutely not; people watch Monday Night Football IN SPITE of your blather.

But, here’s the good news. If we want to solve the current energy crisis, all we have to do is run some pipes into the Monday Night Football booth and suck out all the hot air and gas those guys produce. It’s enough to power the country for the next two hundred years.
