Giants Part Ways with OL Olivea
Posted by Matt Loede on August 21st, 2008 filed in Roster MovesThe Giants had snagged former Charger O-lineman Shane Olivea off the market a just recently, but were unimpressed with him and Thursday released him, giving him an injury settlement. Olivea is now a free agent and is free to sign with anyone. Now the Giants can re-sign him after a period of six weeks plus however many weeks of salary were included in the settlement. Don’t expect that to happen from reports out there though. The team also reached injury settlements with DE Antonio Reynolds and S Nehemiah Warrick. One is likely on the way for RB Kay-Jay Harris, who was waived/injured yesterday and will likely be added to IR today.
