Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes will have exploratory surgery tomorrow morning on his knee after hurting his left knee during a routine kick. He has missed almost two weeks of action, and the surgery will determine how much time he will miss. The Newark Star-Ledger is reporting that a source says that Tynes could end up on IR after the surgery if the damage to the knee is bad enough. Coach Tom Coughlin has no idea as to the time frame it will be that Tynes will be out. “I don’t know what to tell you there,” Coughlin said when asked if Tynes was improving. “He says he is but they haven’t given him the green light. … It’s close to when we need to know at least what the expectation is.”
