Giants-‘Boys Prediction

Tomorrow night presents a big game. Huge rivalry, Dallas fighting for their playoff life, New York fighting for the number one seed in the NFC. Who wins? We break it down:

OFFENSE:

With Jacobs and Burress out, and the Tony Romo-Jason Witten express in full gear, this one goes to the Cowboys. If the Giants can sustain some sort of running game, and dominate the line of scrimmage, they can control the clock. The Cowboys, however, have more weapons right now, leading to more offensive opportunities.

DEFENSE:

Giants, easily. Although the Cowboys have a nice offensive arsenal, the G-Men will rebound after a tough game against Philly, and get their top defense back on track. To see the mark of a great D, look at the interior lineman. Barry Cofield and Fred Robbins are two of the best in the biz.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

With Pacman out, the return game is hurt, and Domenik Hixon has succeeded for Big Blue. I’ll give this one to the Giants.

COACHING:

Did you really think I’d go with Wade Phillips?

BOTTOM LINE:

I’m concerned about the loss of Jacobs, and the potential ramifications a long term loss has on the team. Cowboys are on their ninth life; you better expect them to come out on fire. However, I think the Giants take this one, 24-21. In the end, the Defense is just too good to let Dallas beat them in a shootout. Sunday night. Texas Stadium. Big Rivalry. Giants-Cowboys. Should be fun.
