Giants Ink Texans Safety Brown; TE Vickers

They keep signing and signing and signing:

Reese and company are a perfect 4 for 4. According to Paul Schwartz, of the NYPost, the Giants have signed C.C. Brown to a one year deal. Brown was a four-year starter with Houston but missed the final 13 games of the season. He passed the Giants physical and is ready to back up Kenny Phillips and Michael Johnson. Brown was quoted as saying, “It’s a great opportunity for me to come here and get a chance to play in the playoffs. One of my main objectives was to get to a winning team and be part of a winning environment.”

The Giants also signed TE Lee Vickers, a 6-6, 279-pounder who has played in eight NFL games, all with the Ravens in 2007. He is a converted defensive end with versatility and good hands. The Giants plan to use him as a blocker, short yardage receiver and special teams.
