Plax vs. Giants moved to April 1

If Plaxico Burress wants his money that he lost after he was suspended for shooting himself in the leg late last year, he’s going to have to wait.

The New York Daily News is reporting that the new date is April 1st. Specifically, Burress wants to recoup the $1 million dollar signing bonus that the Giants did not pay. According to the Daily News, there is a clause in Burress’ contract that grants the Giants permission to recoup part of the signing bonus if Burress’, “incarceration or detention by any law enforcement personnel.”

However, the Collective Bargaining Agreement prohibits teams from
recouping more than $250,00 in bonus money. April 1st should be an interesting day as Burress fights for his money.
