Winslow says: “Edwards Wants to be a Giant”

From Tom Rock of Newsday,

The Tampa Bay tight end and former Browns teammate of Braylon Edwards was on Sirius NFL Radio today when host Solomon Wilcots asked him if he thought Edwards would be playing for the Browns in 2009.

“For some reason I don’t,” Winslow said. “I know Braylon would love to go to New York. The Giants would fit him to the T and he would have so much fun up there. I know he loves Cleveland, but New York would be a great fit for him.”

Winslow added: “He would love it there. He’s a city guy and, yeah, I know he would love it there.”

Interesting that he wasn’t asked specifically about a destination for Edwards, only if he thinks the WR will play in Cleveland, and Winslow coughs up a Giants scenario just like that.

ofcourse he wants to be a giant there the best team in football in the biggest market in sports but if you think about it if we can get him we will be an unstoppable force, with him mabe a 14-2 seoson and another superbowl ring. hes a plax type player with size plus he has speed and hes a guy who can demand double coverage when hes hot. this would be a big step in making us the franchise of the future

with donte stallworth likely to serve 3 to 5 for his recent incident and k2 being shipped to tampa, they already have no receiving options left. if they gave up braylon now as well they could basically say hello to being the worst team in football.

I would be happy with the addition of edwards if we can make it happen its not like there gonna use hixon to replace burress like they should have the last 4 games of the season an show the rest of the nfl that we could still do it with out burress
