Who Do You Want?

With Plaxico Burress released, it’s becoming increasingly likely that the Giants will either trade for a big time receiver, or draft one. Question is, who do you want? Braylon Edwards? Torry Holt? Anquan Boldin? Chad Ocho Cinco? Marvin Harrison? Michael Crabtree? Jeremy Maclin? Kenny Britt? Hakeem Nicks? Someone else? State your case in the comments.

i know you will think im crazy but id go with chad ocho cinco i know hes a distraction but the giants have key leadership on the team and his biggest complaint was losing if chad comes to new york theyd be the best team in football hed have nothing to complain about, yes he had a rocky seoson last year but lets face it a no name qb throwing to him or eli manning. if he comes to the giants i think between the leaders on the team and a little taste of winning can make him a new player

You have to go with Edwards because he is a solid red zone threat. He is younger then Boldin and will work harder to address the dropped passes if he is with the Giants. He would actually have something to play for a ring, where as he would never have gotten that chance playing for the Browns. Just think Edwards, Smith, and Hixon would be a lethal combo.

  3. Duke says:

No doubt Boldin, good character, good skills, demands double coverage, will fit into giants scheme better than the others. Would trade for him with either a 1st and 4th pick or a 2nd and a third.

  4. Jesse Cassel says:

Boldin would be the ideal pick but even if they get the cardnals to negotiate do you think that a first and a fourth is ganna be enouph u have to value it at least as the cowboys lions roy williams trade that was a first-round pick in 2009, plus a third- and sixth-rounder for that year plus a seventh-round pick in ’10 and Boldin is probably a better player. i would do it but it might be to rich for jerry reeses blood. idk i do believe though that the chad johnson trade would be easyer to aquire he wants off the team and the bengals need to rebuild anyway the cardnals are a team that can win now so they wont want to get rid of a key part of there offense. now braylon edwards may be a great athlete but hes not a guy who takes up double coverage youd be better off stayin with dominik hixon for a year and waiting till 2010 when he becomes a free agent. if the giants are to go after someone they need a guys whoes ganna take up double coverage cause when the opposing team cant clog up the box the running game is impossible to stop.

  5. I dont think you’re crazy, Jesse Cassel.

A few months ago I was pleading to get Ocho Cinco.

I think NY is a good fit for him and I don’t think he’ll cost that much, maybe our late 2nd round pick which would be fine.

Does the team want his possible explosive behavior though, after going through all that with Plaxico?

Boldin will cost A LOT financially and in draft picks, plus he has injury histories and he’s never really been THE Guy at Arizona, one year, but are we sure, sure he’s a True number 1?

I’m not sure you want to give up a 1st a third and more to find out.

Edwards has 2 knocks: one he drops a lot of passes. Two he wants a Larry Fitzgerald type contract.

But he’s the youngest of these options and the one with the most pure athletic ability.

Also Edwards THREAT of him catching the ball should open up the run game again, even if he drops it, plus unlike Boldin his organization does not care to keep him

For me I want Crabtree to miraculously fall out of the top 10 and go up and get him.

    Or Edwards, or Britt.

I want Crabtree more then anything, package picks and go and get him.

  7. Jesse Cassel says:

i agree but i just dont think edwards is a good fit i think its either Boldin or Ocho Cinco because they are the only two legitment recievers who need double team. i was the first person on the Braylon Edwards bandwagon but not for what he wants. hes not worth the firtzgerald money and may never live up to the giants expectations. now Boldin and ocho cinco are both guys that have proved that they can have consistant play and can take up the double team and that can replace plax.

  8. Jonny A says:

HAKEEM NICKS! look at this guys highlight reel…I think he will be amazing. Also, pair him with CHAD OCHO CINCO! give away that second rounder, and we now have 4 threats in Nicks, Ocho Cinco, Hixon, and Smith. Done Deal.
