Source: Giants to Open at Home Against Redskins

This from Mike Garafolo:

The NFL schedule won’t be released until 7 p.m. Tuesday night, but a few tidbits are starting to trickle in from sources behind the scenes. The first of said tidbits is the Giants’ season opener: at home against the Redskins.

The game will kick off at 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 13. And since CBS will carry the U.S. Open final late in the afternoon, it appears Giants-‘Skins will be the headliner of the late Fox games, which means a lot of you folks out of the market will get that game.

Also, I’m hearing that, in a flip of last year’s schedule, the Giants will be playing a lot of road games early, including Week 2 at Dallas in the opener of the Cowboys’ new stadium. I’m told that will be the NBC Sunday Night game
