Giants Keep It Close to the Vest

I was wondering if anyone else had found this reported anywhere else, but

DE/OLB Clint Sintim had an official visit with the New York Giants according to Clint Sintim (who is writing a journal for Sportingnews Today:

Sintim said that Maurice Covington. Covington is a big prospect, listed at 6-4, who didn’t have a lot of production his senior season (or really his whole career) so that’s not that interesting.

What I found interesting though is that Covington also noted that “Lesean McCoy from Pitt was there too”

I haven’t seen that anywhere else.

But unlikle many of the players the Giants have had in for visits, I think McCoy and Sintim are real possibilities for the Giants.

Sintim seems like the kind of player the Giants would like to have, especially if they think he can convert to a 4-3 OLB (much like Kiwinuka).

Sintim is not too big to play linebacker. He’s 6-3 255 pounds, but the question can he cover?

The one thing he does really well is get at the Quarterback so if the Giants think he can cover, I wouldn’t be suprised they drafted him to play outside in the 4-3, especially if he is there in early round two.

I haven’t seen McCoy reported anywhere else, and I wonder how many visits the Giants have been able to have without them being reported.

I think a RB is another real possibility. I like Bradshaw and Ware’s potential, but if Jacobs gets hurt I don’t know if I want to count on either of those to be the number one, I think I’d rather have another player to push them and hope that at least one of them success in the event of a Jacobs injury.

Really though I’m just counting down the days to the draft to see what’s going to happen.

I’ve seen multiple sites that report that Jerry Reese, won’t reach for a player and take best available player regardless of position, so I think whatever happens it will be good.
