Now I am Dreaming:

If the Braylon Edwards trade doesn’t happen can the Giants get Crabtree?

From Vinny DiTranni:

Should the Giants fail to obtain Braylon Edwards or another veteran receiver through a trade, they still could package picks and move up in the first round. Using one of those draft value cards, here’s an idea where they could wind up by packaging picks.

No. 1 (29) plus Saints No. 2 (45) and own No. 2 (60) = 8 (Jaguars there right now)

No. 1 (29) plus Saints No. 2 (45) and No. 3 (91) = 11 (Buffalo)

No. 1 (29) plus Saints No. 2 (45) and No. 4 (129) = 13 (Washington)

No. 1 (29) plus Saints No. 2 (45) = 14 (Saints)

No. 1 (29) plus own No. 2 (60) and No. 3 (91) = 14 (Saints)

No. 1 (29) plus Saints No. 2 (45) and Saints No. 5 (151) = 15 (Texans)

No 1 (29) plus own No. 2 (45) and No. 4 (129) = 16 (Chargers)

No. 1 (29) plus OWN No. 2 (45) and Saints No. 5 (151) = 16 (Chargers)

No. 1 (29) plus own No. 2 (60) = 17 (Jets)

No. 1 (29) plus No. 3 (91) = 22 (Vikings)

The card may not be totally accurate since the money factor might push the landing spot up a notch or two. But it appears the Giants (unless they add a player(s) to the package) won’t get much higher than the middle of the round _ providing they find some willing to move down to No. 29.

Hey I can dream, I love Crabtree!!!!

  1. B says:

They should move up to get Maualuga. They could probably get him at 14, the Saints need picks. 29, 60, and 91 for 14 get them the Middle Linebacker they haven’t had in years and puts slow fat AP on the bench

  2. I like Rey Maualuaga

I don’t want to move too far up though.

I would see how far you can get up with the a third and a two fifths if that’ll get you somewhere think about-like another pick in the 2nd round or much higher 3rd rounder.

We don’t need all of those late picks, but I don’t think they’ll move up.

Besides that the best way to move up is our #1 plus #1 next year we’ll get you in the top 10, I’d imagine.

And then you keep all those other picks.
