Andre Brown-Scouting Report

Here is Andre Brown’s scouting report from draftcountdown:

Strengths:
Excellent size and bulk…A pretty good athlete…Strong and runs with power…Will break some tackles…Natural runner with good vision and instincts…Shows nice patience…Has good hands and can catch the ball out of the backfield…Is tough and physical…Nimble feet…A solid blocker…Also has experience  as a return man…Still has a little upside.

Weaknesses:
Does not have great timed speed or quickness…Isn’t very elusive…Not a big play threat…Will struggle to turn the corner…Durability is a concern…Struggled in school and intelligence may be an issue…Never carried the load or  proved to be a workhorse…Wasn’t real productive.

Notes:
A Parade All-American coming out of high school…Did not qualify academically and spent one year at a prep school…Finished his college career ranked in the Wolfpack’s Top 10 in rushing yards, carries and rushing touchdowns…Missed considerable time with a fractured foot in 2007, which later required surgery, and then re-injured it in spring practice the following year…Also averaged 20.1 yards on 17 kick returns during his time in Raleigh…Underachiever who never really lived up to his vast potential at N.C. St. but didn’t necessarily get much of an opportunity to either, averaging just 124 carries a year…Could be the type who ends up being better in the pros than he was in colleg
