Stoney Woodson- Scouting Report

Here is Stoney Woodson’s scouting report from si.com: POSITIVES: Relatively instinctive defensive back with potential in a zone system. Displays good route recognition, stays with assignments, and quickly locates the pass in the air. Experienced at safety and does a nice job picking up assignments in centerfield. NEGATIVES: Marginally athletic, lacks a quick break to the throw [...]

Stoney Woodson-Instant Analysis

I’m going to be honest. I’ve never heard of Stoney Woodson before he was selected by the Giants. The South Carolina corner, from scouting reports I’ve read (and there aren’t many), he is an instinctive cover corner with experience at safety. Still surprised at the pick. He sounds like practice squad fodder to me.

DeAndre Wright-Instant Analysis

DeAndre Wright is a physical corner. Good size, but not great timed speed, Wright is aggressive and a good tackler. Also a good return man, average 23.6 yards a return. Might move to safety, where he played some in college. Wright’s value early on will come on special teams, and potentially down the road contribute [...]

So Long Sinorice:

With the selection of Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden it looks like the Sinorice Moss experiment is over.  I am so excited that the Giants got these two guys.  I know rookie receivers don’t usually produce right away but [...]
