The Giants announced the signing today of 4th round pick Andre Brown to a 4 year contract. Rookie free agent center Alex Derenthal was released to make room.

Reese declined to talk about suspending and eventually cutting ties with Burress, but he did discuss several other topics including the Giants’ aggressive offseason in signing players such as defensive tackle Chris Canty in hopes of winning another title:

According to Giants.com, the Giants have signed fifth round draft pick Travis Beckum, a tight end, to a deal. Terms of the deal are not available. In order to make room for Beckum, the Giants released rookie free agent Alex Field, a defensive end.

This is the last of our position breakdowns. You can find the others here. While this isn’t really a position, Special Teams is still a very important group on the team. The Giants are great at two thirds of special teams–kicking and punting. After that, the return game is a big question mark.
