Sintim Injures Hamstring:

New York Giants rookie linebacker Clint Sintim, a second-round draft pick from the University of Virginia, strained his right hamstring today during a practice session, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.

Sintim becomes the latest NFL rookie to get hurt, albeit not as seriously as many others, during an Organized Team Activity.

“I was sorry to see Sintim pull a hamstring,” Giants coach Tom Coughlin told reporters. “That’s not going to help him or us.”

Sintim registered 11 sacks as a senior and was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference.

For his career, the 6?2,” 256-pound four-year starter recorded 27 sacks and 245 tackles.

The Giants drafted Sintim with the 45th overall selection.

Now, they’re crossing their fingers that he makes a speedy recovery.
