New York Giants seventh-round cornerback Stoney Woodson has agreed to a four-year, $1.8 million contract, according to a league source.
The former University of South Carolina player received a signing bonus slightly higher than $46,000.
The deal includes a three-tiered escalator clause in the final year of the contract. Per our source, Woodson can make as much as $4 million over the course of the deal if he triggers certain escalators.
Woodson received base salaries of $310,000 in 2009, $395,000 in 2010, $480,000 in 2011 and $565,000 in 2012.
Woodson, a 5?11, 198-pounder, intercepted four career passes, returning one 68 yards for a touchdown against Tennessee.
Meanwhile, the Giants announced that they have released cornerback Rashard Barksdale.
