Is Eli Worth the Money?

Now that Eli is a very, very rich man (so much for a recession, huh?), the inevitable debate is going to begin: Is he worth the almost $15.3 he’ll be getting a year? What say you, Giants fans?

Here’s my two cents: No one is really worth $15.3 million a year. Neither is Eli. But, this is the way the market was headed. It keeps going up, and Eli is the beneficiary. The Giants needed to keep him before he went to free agency, and I think they wanted to avoid franchising him. So, Eli is now the franchise.  Fans will have to live with him. As a Super Bowl MVP, a Pro Bowler, and someone who seems to improve every year, Eli got the right contract. The money’s a bit much, but it was going to be high no matter what.

id rather give him the money then take the chance of letting him leave newyork i mean where else are you ganna get a qb that know the giants playbook as well as eli does and thats proven he can win. he might not be the best qb he may not be the most acurate qb but hes proven that he can be trusted in winning games for us hes shown alot of times that he can lead the team down the field and get a touchdown when the game is on the line your not ganna get a qb of his talent and experince via free agent or in the draft. to me you had to make this deal other wise you risk destroying the team you built for so long
