Number Details Stopping the Manning Deal From Being Official

AP reports that some number details are stopping the Manning deal from becoming official:

New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese says the number of details in Eli Manning’s new contract has prevented the quarterback from signing his $97 million, six-year extension. Reese hopes the deal will get done soon, and is not worried that the agreement will fall apart. Manning and the Giants agreed on Wednesday to the extension that will make the quarterback the NFL’s highest-paid player based average annual salary and Reese said there is no timetable for completing the contract.
