Here are some off the cuff reactions from GiantsGab:

-I think Rhett Bomar will beat out Andre Woodson. Woodson did not look good at all. While Bomar did nothing of note, he didn’t do anything horrible, and that gives him the leg up.

-The Ramses Barden/Hakeem Nicks debate. A commenter thought Barden should be put in the “didn’t play well” category with Nicks. On second review, Nicks’ catch was a tough one. I give him credit for that. The reason I put Barden in the “played well” column is that I thought he made himself more visible than Nicks. You were aware of him. Maybe its because he’s 6-6. But, on every play, you saw him, and you could tell the Panthers were aware of him. That’s a big impact. I’m not writing off Nicks, either. It’s game one of the preseason. I would just like to see him do more.

-Tommie Hill may never play in the NFL after this preseason, but the memory of taking that fumble to the house for the winning touchdown will stick with him forever. Good for him.

-Ahmad Bradshaw is good. Really good. Really, really good. I can see him getting close to 1,000 yards, replacing Derrick Ward’s production.

-Stoney Woodson is having himself a hell of a preseason. He was everywhere, including an interception. Same with Bruce Johnson. He was everywhere. You have to wonder where 6th round pick DeAndre Wright fits in.

-If we learned anything about Bill Sheridan, it’s that he loves to put pressure, maybe more so that Steve Spagnoulo. I think that’s a great thing. Anytime you can get that kind of pressure, you’re going to have a good football team. As a friend texted me last night about the defense: “Damn! They are good!” They are good indeed.

-We had a ton of fun tweeting the game yesterday. Lots of fan interaction . It was great. Our Twitter page is here. We’re going to tweet each game, so hop aboard.
