Nicks Finally Wakes Up:

From NYPOST.COM

The Giants have been waiting for rookie first-round pick Hakeem Nicks to have a day like he did this afternoon.

“It’s the right time to have that happen,” Tom Coughlin said.

Not a moment too soon for the Giants. Nicks has been solid but not close to spectacular in his first NFL training camp and missed nearly two weeks with a strained hamstring. He lit up the field in the one practice of the day, hauling in three long passes to give reason to believe he’s starting to come around.

Nicks made a leaping grab, elevating over CB Kevin Dockery on the right sideline to make the catch on a pass from Eli Manning. Nicks a bit later cut inside rookie CB DeAndre Wright to make a leaping catch on a pass from Andre Woodson. Nicks jumped over Wright to haul in a lob from Woodson deep down the left sideline. Nicks made a terrific one-handed catch deep down the right sideline, beating rookie CB Bruce Johnson. For his final highlight, Nicks ran free in the end zone to haul in Woodson’s pass.
