Terrell Thomas Starting On Sunday

According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Terrell Thomas is starting at corner Sunday against the Redskins:

“The coaches already notified me that I’ll be starting this week, Monday,” Thomas said. “I’ve been preparing since the season ended last year for this day. “I’m gonna try to keep it, when ‘Dock’ comes back, when Ross comes back, we’re going to compete and if so be it, I’ll go back to nickel or special teams. I’m just trying to do what’s best for the Giants.”

There’s no word on whether Ross or Dockery will play, even though Ross is day to day, and Dockery was just added to the injury report. Still, I’m a huge Thomas fan, and he’ll be more than adequate as a starter, even if it’s for only one week.

  1. Good, I wonder if this means Thomas IS the starter, period. Or just that Ross is hurt and he’s starting becuase of that.

he’s filling in no doubt, but it’ll be a good experience to rely on him early on.

  5. Jason C. says:

This scares me, not that Thomas isn’t capable, it’s just too soon for him, also Bruce Johnson is the only other CB on roster, hopefully the Redskins don’t go 4 wide too much, there will be tons of mismatches.
