Aaron Ross Out For Week 2

According to both the Newark Star Ledger’s Mike Garafolo and the Daily News’ Ralph Vacchiano Aaron Ross will not practice this week and is doubtful for Sunday’s game.

I think the Giants will be all right, as long as they get back Kevin Dockery. The Cowboys do love to pass, but I’m a Terrell Thomas fan ( mean over Aaron Ross, anyway) and Kevin Dockery has been good with the Giants, but Ross is a starting N.F.L. Cornerback and it’s better to have him active than not.

It will be interesting to see if the Giants have Bruce Johnson active for Sunday’s game becuase of Dallas propencity to throw the ball.

Also, Brandon Jacobs loves to talk (not a newsflash)

Here’s what he said to Matt Mosley after the Giants/Redskins game.

“They should’ve put Detriot in there instead of us.”

Which is a little funny (if they back it up) but not my favorite quote.

My favorite quote ever comes from Osi Umeniyora

“[Justin] Tuck and [Mathias Kiwanuka] need some rest,” said Umenyiora, who was born in London but grew up in Nigeria. “I’m from Africa; I don’t need rest. I like to chase my food where I’m from. You ever chase a gazelle before? Chase a gazelle and you’ll know running around and chasing Donovan McNabb is nothing.”

This is a humrous, cohesive team.

Anyone notice that Osi was in on putting the Gatorade on Bill Shearidan?

  1. Andrew Ilnicki says:

    great stuff jesse.

I think Jacobs has a point though, if I were in Dallas I’d be worried. This Giants team is a new offense with a healthy Jacobs and Bradshaw, and a fully reinforced and healthy all-pro defensive line coming at you…. you’d better be prepared.
