That’s BS. Had Moss not aggressed on Webster, he would not have retaliated.

At what point do these fines and penalties start destroying the foundation of the game?

The fight, ok. I get it.

The late hit? Hmmm… wasn’t the penalty enough?

  3. CCC says:

both should have been ejected from that game

$5,000 to those punks is like a penny to the rest of us

  4. Jesse Cassel says:

ccc are you kidding corey webster was walking away from the play then santana moss started with him by hitting him in the head did you even watch the game i agree santana moss should have been ejected but webster was merley defending himself

CCC, no way should they have been kicked out of the game, the fight was resolved pretty quickly, nobody got hurt, and they shook hands afterwards, they both got too fired up in the heat of battle, and the fine is suffice, however Landry getting fined for that late hit is nonsense, if anything the guy tugging on Eli’s facemask when he “fumbled” should be fined (I believe it was Haynesworth)…

  6. Andrew Ilnicki says:

I understand what they are trying to do, I really do.

Donny McNabb’s injury causing late hit is a perfect example — however they did NOT call that late hit so there was no penalty and no fine. So in the case where the outcome is exactly what they are trying to prevent, the refs and the league fall down on the job. Yet they call meaningless penalties and hand out fines to guys that were shaking hands and chatting it up at the end of the game.

    Its absurd.
