The Giants travel to KC to take on the Chiefs. On paper, this is an easy game for the G-Men. But, let’s not get ahead ourselves here. Here are 5 keys to beating the Chiefs.
1. Score First
The last thing you want to do is get the rowdy Arrowhead crowd in the game early. If the Chiefs score early, the crowd will be going crazy. If the Giants score first, it will deflate the crowd.
2. Focus on Dwayne Bowe
Bowe is really their only offensive threat. He’ll be covered by Corey Webster. If Webster can stop him, the Chiefs are severely limited.
3. Run the Ball
The running game really got on track last week against Tampa. Look for the Giants to continue that. Like I always say, a clock control offense is best.
4. Use Kevin Boss more
I’m a huge fan of Mr. Boss, but he hasn’t been used as effectively as I thought he would be. If the Giants exploit a pretty porous D, Boss could have a big game getting open in the seam.
5. Last Week
Last week, the Giants gave up 86 yards, in one of the best defensive performances I’ve ever seen. Obviously, it will be hard to duplicate that. But if they come anywhere close, it will be a long day for the Chiefs.
Im saying pass rush and sacks…. I think we’ll see the Giants finally amass some sacks this week.
