Friday: Injury Update and KC Predictions

RB Ahmad Bradshaw was back in pads at practice today in limited participation. All signs point to a “no biggie” situation for his foot/ankle issue. Good to hear.

Others hopeful to return to action this Sunday in KC include:

  • WR Hakeem Nicks (foot) [probably]
  • OL Adam Koets
  • OL Guy Whimper
  • LB Clint Sintim
  • CB Kevin Dockery

UPDATE: WR Domenik Hixon is now doubtful, so these players will likely not play :

  • DT Chris Canty (calf)
  • RB Danny Ware (elbow)
  • CB Aaron Ross (hamstring)
  • WR Domenik Hixon

Living in Virginia these days, I’ll especially be looking for some of that pre-season magic that UVA star Clint Sintim flashed us before he went out with the injury… Sintim looks like he can fill any void the Giants might develop, including pass rushing duties. The guy is a straight up beast.

Double goes for Hakeem Nicks — the sour taste of that dropped pass in Week 1 should still be lingering. I look for some more opportunities for Nicks this weekend and I predict a solid performance that harkens back to pre-season form for the rookie.

This Sunday — I suspect that the Giants performance will win over the pundits once and for all–  Monday morning the mainstream sports media will justly anoint the Giants with the best receiving core in the league to everyone’s surprise (everyone except for Giants fans of course). Eli Manning will have another efficient and effective day — 200+ yards and 2 touchdowns. The Giants rushing attack will amass another 2 scores, one for Jacobs and one for Bradshaw — Bradshaw with a trademark 50 yard scamper. The Defense has another overpowering performance and I see a miserable Sunday ahead for the KC offense all around.

Mark it down now, the best is yet to come and the Giants continue their domination streak on the road and win it 31 – 10 handily.
