Trust Me…It’ll Be Okay

With the Giants winning with some regularity lately, Monday mornings have been fun. I pass the Jet fan in the hallway, who after another heartbreaking loss, has nothing to say. I trade barbs with the Cowboys fan who I see at Dunkin’ Donunts every morning. Good natured ribbing is a part of life. But, it’s easier when you have a win in your back pocket.

The Giants, as we all know, lost Sunday and lost badly. The text messages started flowing in. Jet fans were happy to see the other New York team come back to life. My Falcons fan friend teases me. This time, I have no comeback.

But, we shouldn’t be worried. Why? The Giants lost to the best team in football. And while all of the Giants wins were against subpar competition, they dominated, and that’s what you want to see. We’re banged up, especially at secondary. And yeah, there are flaws. But, this team will be okay. Trust me. The Giants will win the NFC East. They will win at least a game in the playoffs. ¬†How do I know? A disciplined , talented team, with a (usually) good pass rush, always does well. That’s the Giants. So, take a deep breath, Giants fans. All will be okay. Trust me.

The Saints are NOT the best team in football, they just played like it last week, but they are BY FAR, NOT the best team in football.

I am really bothered by this loss, it is if the Giants were in a pre-season game. They only blitzed a few times in the entire game, not even touching Brees once. History teaches us, if you can pressure a good quarterback (Brady ect;) you can win the game. Why did the Giants choose to play a soft zone all day instead of dialing up the pressure? I feel it was a coaching blunder, even if the DB’s are banged up, pressure up front can make the average DB look good. We have some real tough games comming up, if the coaches don’t start smacking some quarterbacks around, it will be a shortened season.

we USUALLY have a good pass rush, the other day i didnt hear one defensive linemens home the whole entire game in new orleans. Really need the defensive line to put pressure on the qb with a 4 man rush, helps our whole defense out since we dont have any real shut down corners
