With Eli throwing the ball as well as he did, how do you NOT take a shot at the end zone on 3rd and goal? Running Jacobs in that situation was a serious "no confidence" move that should infuriate Manning. Gilbride and Sheridan are simply not getting it done.

Giants coaches don't know how to make mid-game adjustments. Hixon does nothing, he is a burden to the offense. It is time for Nicks to be on the field more. Could we run more then 3 plays, off tackle, off tackle, shot-gun, punt? No imagination on offense, and the D needs a big play linebacker. Thank god they benched cc brown.

I am no football genius. Just a regular fan. However, the defensive play calling was simply awful. As I said in a previous post, the prevent really doesn't work for the Giants because their secondary is sub-par. Why would you want to induce a pass. On the last drive, the cushion was so deep that I could not even see the secondary--and I have a huge screen. What's worse, the Giants "D" was finally digging in and the front 4 were looking dominant. So what do you do--play the prevent and hope that the Chargers keep dropping passes. IMO not only is this strategy ineffective, pardon the French--it is emasculating. We have KillDrive on offense and KillD on the other side. The coaching has stifled this team. On offense, why didn't they go with fourth and a foot in the first quarter? This was also a great showing of no confidence. I'm not even going to comment on the Charlie Brown like field goal attempt. (I swear that I started hearing Schroeder playing piano after the 'attempt'.) I'm sorry but the coaching was awful and changes are needed now. Please.

This was a bad loss. I wonder if Bill Sheridan has lost the defense's ear at this point. No pass rush, a confused secondary. Despite this..does it really just come down to not having the athletes in the secondary? Is it coaching, adjustments...or just not having the horses on D.

Dunno. We're looking at a 7-9 season boys.
