Basically with the Cowboys losing and the Eagles losing today — the Giants aren’t in too bad a shape afterall.

It’s painful to see the ‘Boys on top at 6-3, and with the Eagle tied with the Giants at 5-4 I feel a whole lot better about the Giants chances for later this year as we wind things into the playoffs. With the Skins at 3-6, they are the non-threat in the division that can maybe put a damper on another teams record, but not for the Giants. They take that series 2-0 without issue.

But more to the point, I can see the Gmen winning both the Eagles and Cowboys matchups at home with a team who is capable of playing extremely tight football… late November is the perfect time to get hot. While the Giants should atleast be tied for the lead, I honestly and truly believe that it works in their favor to be slightly behind in the division and forced to make a run to the playoffs.

All things considered, Tony Romo does not look that good. The Packers completely dominated this game tonight. And Philadelphia’s running game is gone, Westbrook didn’t make it to San Diego apparently… Donny McNabb had an impressive 400+ yard game though.

So when you compare the Giants to these two teams who seem to be backsliding a bit this week, the Giants have an opportunity to shoot the shoots with a ball of fire starting at home against Atlanta, a team the pundits love to talk about but in all honesty has little chance to win against a focused Giants team.

Between Eli itching to make an impact, Jacobs itching, Bradshaw itching, and the defense largely itching to prove themselves — things could get mighty interesting this December.
