Giants Dominate Redskins on Monday Night, Win 45-12

It was a must win game, and the Giants sure showed up, dominating the Redskins, and winning 45-12. Giants played outstanding in all facets of game. The Giants finally looked like a playoff team.

The Giants started off the scoring after a methodical first drive, capping it off with a 3 yard run by Ahmad Bradshaw. The Giants followed it up with a second TD run by Bradshaw.

Lawrence Tynes chipped in a 38 yard field goal, and Steve Smith scored on a 6 yard touchdown to end the half up 24-0.

The Redskins started off the scoring in the second half, on an 11 yard pass to Fred Davis. They missed the extra point.

Derek Hagan caught a 23 yard pass for a touchdown, while Terrell Thomas got in on the action, with a 14 yard interception return for a touchdown.

Quinton Ganther added another score for the Redskins on a one yard run at the end of the third.

Giants started off the scoring in the 4th with a 25 yard pass to Mario Manningham, making it 45-12 Giants

This was just a tremendous performance on both sides of the ball. Offense was outstanding, and Eli Manning looked like an MVP. Ahmad Bradshaw had maybe his best game as a Giant. Mario Manningham had a nice game. It was just an awesome performance on offense. On defense, it was the first time we saw the “Giants defense”. They were swarming, attacking. They were getting tremendous pressure. Terrell Thomas was outstanding. Osi was great. This was the defense we had been hoping to see. When it mattered most, we saw it

It was not all peachy. Hakeem Nicks left with a hamstring injury. No word on the extent.

The Giants needed to win this game. They needed to come out with a strong effort. They did both. Their offense and defense were clicking. It was an outstanding performance. Now, the playoff hopes are still alive. The Giants need to keep this effort for the rest of the year. This was one game in their quest for the playoffs. But it was a big one. And the performed great.
