The Giants will, most likely, play their last game in Giants Stadium on Sunday. An end of an era. I asked people on Twitter to share their thoughts on the Meadowlands. Here are a select few:
First and only visit (I live in Scotland) was this season’s opening win v Skins! Awesome day! Looking forward to the new stadium!
Brought my 6 year old son to his first game this year against the Cowboys. Jacobs catch and run for a TD and Hixon punt return!
Obviously, every one will have different memories. I’ll have memories of long bathroom lines, and tasteless hot dogs. Of going to games with my dad, learning the game. Of sitting in a luxurious sky box. Of freezing my ass off. Giants Stadium isn’t beautiful. There isn’t much charm. But, it holds memories. There are memories of bad losses, and triumphant wins. I remember seeing Eli Manning’s first start. I remember throwing a football around in the parking lot. We say goodbye to Giants Stadium. But we don’t say goodbye to the memories.
