Giants Playoff Hopes Down To A Prayer:

With their playoff lifes on the line the Giants stayed in the locker room not bothering to show up today and getting destroyed by the Panthers 41-9. A holding penalty and fumble should not cause a good team to totaly self destruct. The defense is ABSOLUTELY terrible thats it no excuses and the running game isn’t much better. The Giants only hopes now are for the Cowboys to lose tonight to the Redskins and next week to the Eagles along with beating the Vikings (who now have a chance at home field thoughout the playoffs with the Saints lost) next Sunday. So basically season over! Time to start your free agent/draft analysis.

Trade the entire future for a chance to draft Eric Berry, sign whoever is the top CB and then do whatever you can to sure up the LB’s, the line takes care of itself, once they can’t use 7 blockers and pick apart a weak secondary. Get everyone healthy, and don’t touch the offense, a dominant defense will make this offense more dangerous, as will another year for these young receivers, the season is officially over, it was nice while it lasted.

I agree. Reese needs to trade his ass off to get a low enough pick to get Berry if he declairs early. (I think he is a Jr.) After that get a corner and MLB.

I agree the offense isnt the problem. Focus on D and the offense will fall in line.

Im confident in Manningham, NIcks, and smith. Jacobs worries me. Depending on what brown shows in the off season Jacobs may be a bargaining tool. He got less than 10 yards today. Unacceptable. I like the guy, and im not totally ready to write him off..but if he gets us a few key players we need then send him packing. Im not a believer that Bradshaw only gets yards because jacobs beat everyone up first. He gets yards cuz he plays wtih his heart. U cant teach heart.

Oh…and fire Sherridan. A blind, def, mute, parapalegic can do a better job.

The off season is now most important. I think we need linebacker help, safety help, We need d-tackle help, we need to fire our d-coordinater. Why is our defense so bad, our offense is 5 times better than last year yet we win half as many games. It’s pathetic. At least we get a good draft pick, top 25 atleast. A center drafted high would be nice unless suh-Burt will do it off the bench. Is Kenny Phillips our most valuable player. If that’s the case our d-coordinater most definitely needs to be fired. A second year player should not make that much a difference with scheme. I’m ranting now I’ll stop I’m just really depressed right now with what should have been I know we are better than 8 wins so so so sad. Boos across the board F for everyone even Jerry.

It’s over now. This team started out shaky from Albany. Osi walking out???? That was a clue to what was running underfoot with the Giant’s new DC. Just a total failure. I think you still have to give Canty osi and Cofield another chance lb’s have to all go with the exception of Boley D backfield boy were do you start? What an ebarassment today was. I have been a fan since 1962 and this team reminds me of the late 1960’s when Tarkention was QB. No defense @ all and just no taste for any talent. Reese better get smart. 2010 will be a real challenge.

  4. Júlio César says:

let’s trade up with osi umenyiora and get eric berry! please jerry!

Eric Berry + Kenny Philips = Best Secondary Ever
