Bill Sheridan to Dolphins?

Paul Pasqualoni was recently dismissed at the Miami Dolphin’s Defensive Coordinator, and the ‘Fins are looking to move quickly to replace the vacancy.

But the void at Miami’s DC position will likely still be vacant after Bill Sheridan meets with their front office this week, and that shouldn’t surprise anyone given his performance with the Giants in the same roll this past season: he was horrible.

So the speculation around the Miami Herald news is that instead of interviewing for the DC postion, Sheridan will likely go for the one of the two Linebacker coaching positions currently open.

If it were my team, I wouldn’t let him near a clipboard. The man is better suited for a shovel.

After his disassembling of all the complexity and the productive aspects of the Giants Defense that Steve Spagnuolo had expertly constructed…. given all the various ways he snowed the Giants in 2009, Sheridan might be a better fit for standby snow removal in Miami, if you ask me. If it ever should snow in south Florida (and it doesn’t) you can count on Bill to somehow keep digging.

I totally agree. The man was a disaster. His blitzes rarely worked. The secondary guys didn’t know how to get through. It was very frustrating.
