O.K. so here is an unofficial list of Free Agents (via newerascouting.com)

Check it out and let me know what you think about some of the choices. Some of my favorites are:

(I”m only talking about Unrestricted Free Agents. I don’t think this post has the players listed as RFA if they have less than 6 years of service which will be the case if there is no new C.B.A. )

DL: Julius Peppers.  Would give the DL instant credibility. Umeinyora and Peppers could play outside most of the time… Kiwi could rotate in with Umeinyora and Peppers sometimes.  Tuck could slide into the DT role.  If there is no cap…why not?  Peppers is an elite N.F.L. player.

Domata Petko (Cinncinnati…guy with the really long hair). Very good two down linemen. Great against the run.

Vince Wilfork Nasty. Very good player. a Proven winner. Sign Wilfork and Peppers to team up with Tuck, Umienoyra, Canty, Kiwianuka and Alford and than THAT’S A DEFENSIVE LINE!

Ray Edwards, Minnesota. Nice solid player. I wouldn’t want to pay him a ton though.

Richard Seymour Did very well in oakland this year. Which shows you that he’ll still play hard even on a terrible team. A big time leader proven winner, not yet past his prime.

Casey Hampton…if we move to a 3-4 (which I know many of you would like to do)

Jevon Kearse…Maybe he has something left in the tank.

Safeties Antoine Bethea is a very solid and good player.

Darren Sharper…although his age WILL catch up to him sooner rather than later.

Linebackers: Dqwell Jackson. tackle machine in a 3-4. Could he play the middle of a 4-3?

DeMeco Ryans (restricted if no CBA). Tackle machine. Sign him up.

Thomas Howard and Kirk Morrison from Oakland. Both are very solid N.F.L. players.

CB: Terrance Newman, Dunta Robinson, Marlin Jackson, Dre Bly (meh).

Newman and Robinson aren’t elite CB, and I like the YOUNG Cornerbacks we have, but perhaps a more veteran cornerback leader like Sam Madison was a few years ago could help the unit out even more.

There are some of the players (assuming they are actually UFA-Peppers Is for sure.)

Incase you missed it earlier, Kenny Phillips is ahead of schedule in his recovery (yay!) and I profiled S Eric Berry scroll down to check it out.

Have a nice day, everyone.
