Compiling Mock Drafts

Some more mocks out for you to persue:

Mel Kiper: Sergio Kindle, DE/OLB, Texas

My take: Not a fan of Kindle, and think that if the Giants are going to go linebacker (as Kiper has him listed) I don’t see them going outside linebacker. We have Sergio Kindle–his name is Clint Sintim. Read Jesse’s profile here

Todd McShay: Brian Price, DT, UCLA

My take: Fan of Price. Think he would fit well in Blue. Read Jesse’s profile here

Walter Football: Brian Price, DT, UCLA

My take: See Above

Draft Countdown: Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama

My take: Huge fan of McClain. Think he would start on Day 1. Tremendous talent. Comes from a winning program. Read Jesse’s profile here

Pro Football Talk: Earl Thomas, S, Texas

My take: In terms of prospects as fits for the Giants, it’s McClain 1, Thomas 1a. Could be equal. Both fill needs, and both could start on Day 1. I’d be excited about a Thomas Phillips safety crew. Read Jesse’s profile here.

I’d just like to see the Giants draft a stud up the middle on D from that 15 spot in round one.
I’ll trust Jerry to figure out the best value at safety, MLB, and DT via free agency and the draft. I still have faith in him and will give him a mulligan for last year’s free agent signings and an incomplete on the draft. A lot of the guys we drafted were not NFL ready type players ( I know, few guys are) and needed a year in the system before we can grade them.
BTW- Is it just me, or does everyone else agree that ESPN’s online presence is in the process of making itself irrelevant to the majority of sports fans with this “insider” content section that almost no one I know will pay to see. They’d be my first option for sports news online, but they just tick me off with this stuff every time I visit their site. I now rarely even visit their site.
It reminds me of DRM software in music. Or the way professional boxing killed the golden goose with PPV for all major fights. Now boxing is a fringe sport that most kids barely know. When I was growing up in the 60′ and 70’s it was one of the major sports draws.

I dont wanna seem like Im wrong but notice how every player they picked is a defensive player which means everyone thinks what we have to do is draft a defensive player….which seems right but I’d rather first build around our talent…and our most talented side right now is our offense and the most important part of an offense is the line which is why I say we should draft the best RT jerry reese thinks there is available at 15, sign karlos dansby out of the free agency, draft a LB in the 3rd (cuz there will definitely be a talented one available in the 3rd…I GUARANTEE IT) and then u have goff, dansby and whoever we would have drafted in the 3rd which solves the LB problem. In the 2nd round we find a DT and there u have it. And don’t worry about the safety problem cuz look at how many big name DBs are available in the free agency this year and plus we don’t have to sign a load of players out of the free agency so we can have enough money to sign these people.

That’s what I’ve been saying start with the o-line. This draft is chalk full of talent. It’s very deep at many positions as long as we draft best player available we should be fine.

Our offense is in really good shape receivers are in great shape, line is still good, we still have a running back from last years draft that still hasn’t played. We need another safty, MLB, or a big time DT. When healthy webster, and ross are really good conners. Phillups is an great safty, but we need someone behind him. Our DTs are not getting presure, and a good DT would do alot for Osi and Tuck. We don’t need a blitzing LB, we need a true MLB who can cover. Defence is the way to go.
