Cardinals Officially Release Antrel Rolle

Welp, I think the title says it all. Antrel Rolle is now a free agent and can be signed by any team.

He wants 8 million dollars a year.

Profootballfocus.com has him as a -7.2 rating, which would make him the 67th best Safety in the league.

What do you guys think?

He’s a former top 10 pick (At CB) who was moved to the Safety position becuase he was not a great cornerback.

There’s noone I want more except mclain lol. You don’t have to compare him to all nfl safetys its about making your team better. Just compare him to michael johnson. He’s biger stronget faster plays the pass better plays the run bettter. He’s exactly what we need from a coverage standpoint he is also intimidating across the midle real big hitter

8 mil/year for the 67th best safety in the league. No thanks.

Profootballfocus.com analyzes production. So im assuming he had more bad plays then good ones and a lot of average plays.

That’s dum to think antrel rolle is the 67th best in the nfl almost laughable. He is top 20

That’s… pretty specious reasoning, Alex. He’s a well-known name because of how high he was drafted and how well the Cardinals did last year, not because of his recent performance.

He had a miserable 2009 campaign, which isn’t necessarily enough to label him as a career underachiever, but he certainly isn’t worth Polamalu money, which is what he and his agent seem to think he’s worth.
