Strengths:
Solid height with room to gain weight Competitive Comfortable in press man coverage Sticks his man well Understands how to re-route receivers Will take on a block Wraps up well Great ball skills Good short area quickness Good recovery speed Playmaker Very instinctive; anticipates routes very well Durable Leader Has some upside Weaknesses:
Must gain more weight at the next level Ran a mediocre 40 time at 2008 Kentucky Pro Day (4.53) Timed speed might be questionable Gives up inside leverage occasionally Not very zone-aware Needs to jam receivers better on line of scrimmageSummary: Lindley is a very talented player who makes plays, and he will gain the muscle mass he needs in the pros so that is not a big concern to me. What is a big concern is his potentially average timed speed because teams do value this highly at the cornerback position. Has No. 1 cornerback potential in NFL. Easily the best senior corner in the country and it probably isn’t even close.Player Comparison: Corey Webster. Both corners are most comfortable in press coverage and have the athleticism to play bump and run.

Bartolis Summary and Final Verdict
Trevard Lindley is a player that I am personally very interested in. Lindley is wiry, agressive and a good player.
Last year he received a second round grade from the NFL Draft committee and that there were many people who thought that he would be drafted in the first round, he went back to school and was hoping that he could catapult himself into Joe Haden territory now.
But that didn’t happen he struggled with consistency and injuries this past season has not had a great pre-draft campaign.
Final Verdict
Lindley has shown that he has fring 1st round ability and was very productive at Kentucky in his career except for this past season.
Lindley is a player I think the Giants should be very interested in as a 5th round prospect.
If you draft Lindley you’re hoping that he is determined to prove himself after such a dissapointing season. You get a guy with 1st round ability, good production, and a guy who won’t be getting a huge pay check so he’ll have to play his way back into good graces in the N.F.L.
This is a kind of player that the I would be interested in.
you can’t have enough good cornerbacks in this league and with Ross injury problems, Dockery’s poor play last season, and Bruce Johnson’s inconsitency adding a talented prospect like Lindley, would be a smart move and I hope that the Giants are calling his name in rounds 5 or 6.
