With the 14th pick in the N.F.L. Draft

The last one was close. C.J. Spiller beat out Trent Williams (kind of easily) but when you combine it with T Anthony Davis it’s neck and neck, with only one vote seperation.

Now I could repoll doing only Trent Williams and C.J. Spiller, but I think Spiller is such an interesting take (I haven’t seen it really anywhere else) that I’m going to mock the 49ers Spiller and move on.

Up now is the Seahawks who have two first round selections, number 6 overall and #14 overall, in our mock things get interesting becuase they ended up with Russel Okung, which means that they will most likely NOT take another OT, but they could continue building up the interior of their offensive line or go defense.

I think they need an upgrade on offensewith Spiller gone will they reach for Ryan Matthews, will they go after Golden tate (Considered a reach to most, not to me), or will they try to build up their defense

I think that up the broncos are believable picks, not so sure about McClain to the phins tho, seen as they just picked up Dansby, and i know depth is a big thing to worry about but san fran has Coffee and Gore two good RBs i dont think they’d pick up spiller when they have such a bad o-line

  2. I think the Dolphins would be interested in McClain even after signing Karlos Dansby becuase I think Dansby can play inside or outside in the 3-4.

And the Dolphins really need an upgrade on the outside.

I think a better pick, personally would be Earl Thomas or Dez Bryant.

Now for the 49ers that picks DOES make sense to me, a lot.

San Fran is one of the worst Kick returning teams in the league, are nothing specaulatur on punt returns and were in the bottom half of the league in total points scored.

They are not drafting a TE, they just drafted a WR, and they like their QB so they have to find more points from SOMEWHERE

Spiller could fill needs for them.

What are the odds the rams pass on Bradford in the 1st and draft Claussen in the second

PS: the Redskins will win more games then the eagles this coming season.

even if san fran needs a return game, would they really use one of thier first round picks? they could pick a decent return man in the second or third round. The o-line is just not there. They need tackles. And i personally think the phins need dez bryant, henne needs a number 1 reciever, even if dez isnt number one material, hes still better than what they have already

  6. I think it’s not JUST about a return man.

Frank Gore has been kind of injury prone Missed 2 games each of the last two years and a game three years ago.

And last year San Fran had a pretty good defense and a lack luster offense.

If they like Michael Crabtree and they like Vernon Davis and they want to use Alex Smith at QB

What other offense position do they upgrade?

    That’s the question.

They could target another WR or they could use a dynamic RB who can take it to the house on any play as well as drastically improve one of the worst return units in the league.

I’m not saying that they will draft C.J. Spiller but I can see where people were coming from on that one and the fact that they have 2 first round picks makes it seem more likely to me that they will use on for luxury like C.J. Spiller

I think they should seriously consider drafting an OT too.

I agree with you on the Dolphins

  7. Also Seattle picks right after them and maybe they are worried about Seattle getting a running back who might actully be good as opposed to waht they were trotting out there the past few seasons.

  8. Adam Y. says:

Gores back up is pretty good too, and for a small running back like spiller you need a good o-line. Look at chris johnson, he would not have had the year he had with a syb-par o-line. Alex needs more time in the pocket to get the ball to davis and crabtree
